I was hesitant to link my credit card to my paypal and was thinking of a safe way to cashout my paypal earnings without exposing  my personal savings account online. Luckily I found one card which I could link to my Paypal called EON Card of Union bank. It’s a debit card used mainly for electronic transactions that allows me to withdraw my earnings in Paypal and at the same time make secure payments in the internet. There’s no overspending for it only allows to debit what is equally proportionate to your bank credit balance or deposited amount. Unlike a regular savings account, it doesn’t earn interest, requires NO maintaining balance with an annual fee of only P350.00

How to apply for an EON Card in any Union Bank Branch
  1. Go to any Union Bank Branch within your area and submit the following requirements to the teller:  Accomplished EON Cyber Account Application Form, 2 Valid ID’s with photocopy.
  2. Wait for 10 banking days to receive the EON Card then pay for the card’s annual fee amounting to P350.00
  3. Deposit a peso amount equivalent to $1.95 or P200 to the card. This is an important step before you link your credit card to Paypal! The $1.95 or P200 is the required so Paypal can verify the validity of the card. (to avoid any inconvenience don't deposit an exact amount equivalent to $1.95, the enrollment may be unsuccessful based on experience from one of my friends.)
  4. Wait for another 2-3 banking days then visit www.unionbankph.com and Enroll an EON Cyber Account.

How to Enroll an EON Cyber Account Online?
  1. Validate your ATM/debit card number and PIN by entering your ATM Card Number and PIN Nominate a user ID
  2. Confirm your User ID
  3. Complete the enrollment form

You’re done. You will reach a confirmation screen signifying that your application has been received and can log-in 48 hours later.

Start Using your EON Cyber Account Online
  1. Visit www.unionbankph.com and click EON Cyber Account
  2. Login and  enter your User ID and ATM PIN.
  3. Now you can start banking online. Once your account is active you can start linking it to Paypal to verify your Account.
