Where to Deposit Clixsense Check in the Philippines without the need for US Dollar Bank Account?
  • UnionBank of the Philippines
  • Bank of the Philippine Islands - BPI
  • Security Bank of the Philipines
UnionBank is the best option in cashing your US Dollar check or related foreign currency check - FCC. Most government banking institutions will accept dollar deposit and even checks in US Dollar. BPI and Security Bank on the other hand will only accept check worth the minimum of $100 to allow you to convert it to cash or to become a Cash Receivable against the drawing bank. Unionbank also advised me to do the same, to withhold the check until I have $100, coz the check will only be consumed by excessive bank charges. In short if you have $10 check the bank gets all the money. The three have 21 days clearing period, so make sure to give the check under bank custody the moment you receive it. UnionBank accepts Clixsense Legends Bank so the check transaction is valid and consumable within the 21-day period. I will be back on February to confirm the successful transaction. The outcome will clear all my doubts regarding receiving future check payments since my first Clixsense payment only acts as a guinea pig to make way for future check transactions on PPC Publisher account earnings like Google Adsense Check, Adbrite Check, Infolinks Check etc. I have made this post possible for my fellow Filipinos who are in need of this vital information in cashing their US Dollar check into Philippine Peso by directly depositing it to affiliated Philippine Government Banks like Unionbank, BPI and Security Bank.

Banks that Accept Foreign Currency Checks  with related Foreign Currency Bank Account requirement

Banco de Oro - BDO with $200 maintaining balance
LandBank of the Philippines - $100 maintaining balance (reasonable)
MetroBank of the Philippines - $500 maintaining balance

I received confirmation regarding this issue by actual inquiries on the preceding banks. It's not the best option because you don't have regular check transactions and it will cost you excessive bank charges and fees, besides the amount is very material, instead of reinvesting them, you let this banks use your money in exchange for unreasonable interest rates that will only yield a small amount over a long period of time. Invest your $200 instead of making your money sleep and rot in this banks. 


LandBank is pretty reasonable if you have an online store or if you are selling online because you will need to maintain a merchant account in Paypal which will cost some fees every time you receive money, you can accept credit cards in US Dollar denomination with ease using Paypal. You can accept checks in US Dollar using your LandBank dollar account but you're least option, giving due consideration on possible receipt of bouncing checks or post-dated checks.

How will I receive the money on Clixsense?
After you have completed depositing the check to UnionBank, BPI or SecurityBank, (again UnionBank is the best option for they have the best support group) they will call their head office to confirm if they accept legal transactions with the drawee or the bank issuing the check, this time the Legends Bank. You will receive a call from their branch office regarding the confirmation and the 21-day clearning period will start regardless of the checks remaining valid days. My check was dated December 4, 2009 and I received it last January 8, 2010. I have deposited it UnionBank today January 11, 2010 and is only valid for 60 days from the date of the check or until February 4, 2010. Meaning its void once I have failed to deposit if after February 4, 2010. The start of the 21-day clearing period is today January 11, when UnionBank phoned me regarding the transaction.

All that's left is for you to wait until February to receive the credit if there's any. I hope I could get atleast P500 for all that trouble, lol. The check is worth $19.05, if theirs $12 bank charge I'll let you know for sure... lets wait...

Hello, my union bank account is in PESO denomination. This transaction only shows that union bank is one of the Philippine banks that accepts US Dollar Checks issued by Clixsense.

I've tried it in one of the branches of Unionbank(Imus - the information personnel there was not accommodating at all) and they told me it's not possible. What branch did you exchange the check? Is it possible to deposit it to an Eon account? I hope you could reply to this soon. My check is almost nearing it's expiration.

The reason why I need to know the branch is so that I could tell that personnel where you got this information and that transaction you made is indeed possible. Well, she didn't even try to check if it is possible, she's just one of those common personnel who just says "impossible".

Hello again Ron,
The mere fact that I have posted this proof is to show that it is possible. I have approached Ortigas Branch in Pasig City they did told me that they won't process checks below $10 for the sake of convenience, BPI and LandBank only process $100 check. I have only tried this transaction in EON coz I have an account their and its the nearest bank from my office, the personnel just made a phone call on their main branch if they accept the bank, I received confirmation from them on the same date and then I waited for 28 days clearing period and they deposited it to my EON bank account without any fees. If you are more than willing to travel to manila try Ortigas UnionBank near MERALCO, you need not to worry about the expiry as long as the bank receives it before the expiry date the 28-day clearing period will only start the moment they receive the check. That's what I hate about province bank personnel, they are getting paid for not doing their job.

I wasted my time and effort going to that branch(Imus). I'd probably inform them about this(this should be their job, not mine) Anyway, thank you again. Hello Leah,
They send check through airmail or what we call snail mail. It takes 3-4 weeks to arrive. The only way that it could happen is if you send them the wrong address. Make sure you send them your complete mailing address and you'll have no worries. Zip code is very important. Nevertheless, you can always opt to convert your earnings to ad credits if you don't want to receive it by check. They can't pay through paypal because of the nature of their business, you can refer to Paypal TOS for that... hope this helps...

Hi..I have been a member of ClixSense for over a year now but is not that active. Good that I have seen your post. I wanted to upgrade but don't know if how many ads are shown to upgraded members from our country. It would be such a waste if I upgrade and will only get 1-2 ads a day. I don't have referrals. Can you enlighten me on this? How many ads do you get in a day? I assume you are upgraded..COngrats on your payment! Thanks..

Hello EihdraG, If you're considering an upgrade you need to make sure you're doing it for the right reason and that is to get the commission for each referral that signs up under you. It is the main reason why people upgrade on Clixsense and the secondary reason is only to grab as many ads as you can. I suggest don't upgrade if you don't have plans of getting refs in the future... coz the ROI in clixsense is not as fast as other PTC sites without ref commissions.

Now, if you can spare $10 a year on your first day of upgrade you will be shown upto 500+ ads but if you're an international member 150-175 ads... then 10-20 ads throughout the day. The rates may vary depending on the volume of advertisers. I get around 10-20 ads a day, rates may vary from 0.01 to 0.05 each, but like i said it depends on advertisers. The highest rate I've clicked was $7 on one ad. You won't get that much if you're a free member coz most advertisers turn the filter on for premium members only and for tier 1 and tier 2 users. there's a season you get around 100 ads to click and some slow days when there are less than 10. The show ads throughout the day which works more like wordlinx, if you don't have time to get them your $10 will only come to waste. my internet connection is open throughout the day and I leave the ad hunting to my wife while she's working on her computer at home. Of course for some people its not practical but it works for most that's really, literally working on the computer for the whole day.

Just put it this way, I spent $10 months ago and now I have $45 on my clixsense account, its not bad for me coz its ROI plus income. the mere fact that its a residual income that's all right for me.
